Holiday Support for Families
Feed Nova Scotia – COVID-19 Food Box Program: A short term initiative that provides home delivery of food to families in Nova Scotia. Anyone facing this situation can call 211 on weekdays between 8am-8pm and they will help determine if this program is a good fit.

If your family is in receipt of Income Assistance, the Department of Community Services mailed you a Christmas application form in mid- October. Complete the form and mail it back ASAP. If you did not receive or lost your form please contact the Christmas registry at 902-457-2849. The deadline to apply is November 5th, 2020.
If you do not receive Income Assistance, application information is available on their website (listed below), including a fillable online application. Salvation Army (Food and gift support are available):
The Salvation Army Maritime Division provides Christmas assistance such as toys and food support for children and families in need. If you are located in the HRM and wish to apply for Christmas assistance, please download the online application using the following link: https://salvationarmy.ca/maritime/home/christmas/hrm/
